Main Purpose of Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic E-mail Manager to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in supporting, managing, executing, and optimising e-mail campaigns, serving as a valuable resource for both internal and client stakeholders. The Email Manager will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to drive customer engagement, enhance communication strategies, and ensure effective delivery of e-mail campaigns against KPI objectives.
Additionally, the role will ensure close engagement with our e-mail delivery partner, Mailjet, to ensure the successfully deployment of e-mail campaigns and the ability to report against key metrics defining successful delivery. This role is integral to ensuring our clients' brands maintain effective, consistent, and compliant communication with their customers, fostering customer loyalty and driving digital growth.
Role Description
Audience Targeting and Strategy:
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure campaign success.
 - Provide strategic guidance to clients to align the delivery of email campaigns with their overall business goals.
 
Campaign Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute email delivery strategies tailored to client needs.
 - Manage campaign schedules, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to brand guidelines.
 
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Monitor key metrics such as delivery, open clicked, bounced, and blocked rates.
 - Prepare and present detailed performance reports to clients outside of the suite of standard MI reports, offering actionable insights.
 - Analyse campaign outcomes to refine future strategies and improve results.
 
Data Management and Compliance:
- Ensure accurate data list management, including data cleaning and growth strategies.
 - Monitor e-mail deliverability, maintain a strong sender reputation, monitor IP health, and oversee unsubscribe management.
 - Remain updated on compliance requirements (e.g. GDPR / Consumer Duty / PDF Accessibility) to ensure campaigns meet regulatory standards.
 - Ensure adherence to best practice as outlined by the Certified Senders Alliance (CSA) regarding e-mail delivery.
 
Deliverability and Brand Protection:
- Monitor IP performance and address issues related to spam or bounce rates.
 - Protect client brands by identifying and addressing potential deliverability issues.
 - Collaborate with internal and client teams to minimize e-mail bounce rates and optimize delivery strategies.
 - Manage our E-mail Channel Delivery partner, Mailjet, in accordance with our Vendor Management model.
 - Ensure adherence to contractual SLAs regarding e-mail delivery for each client.
 
Client Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with clients to provide expert advice, guidance, and support.
 - Ensure alignment with client goals to deliver strategic value.
 - Support clients’ digital growth through careful orchestration of e-mail campaigns.
 - Act as the SME for e-mail delivery within Mail Metrics.

Required qualifications / experience / skills
- Proven experience in email campaign delivery, campaign management, and analytics.
 - Strong understanding of e-mail platforms, deliverability tools, and data management practices.
 - Excellent analytical skills to interpret campaign data and provide actionable insight.
 - Knowledge of compliance standards and best practices in e-mail delivery.
 - Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and clients.
 -
